As well as a trained NNEB Nursery Nurse & photographer I am mum to three children aged 16, 17 & 20 so technically the eldest isn't a child any more but he'll always be my biggest baby ('oh mother you're sooo embarrassing!') and I've photographed them from the moment they were born; in my opinion you can NEVER take too many photographs! And you shouldn't just photograph the 'special occasions', take pictures of the 'every day', you'll be capturing a time, a second that is gone in a flash, instantly the past.
I think I have images from just about every football match, rugby match, sailing race and school production ever done and I treasure every one and one of these days I'll get round to putting them all into proper albums.....its on my 'To Do' list!
In the last two years Paddy, my middle son, has taken up cycling in a big way. He joined a local road cycling club who spurred him on and encouraged him in every way, members have been very generous with their time and expertise and he's gone from strength to strength. His passion for everything cycling has taken him to an apprenticeship in cycle mechanics, taking up mountain biking as well as road racing and now cyclo X......no, I'd never heard of it either till a couple of months ago! I've now been to a few cyclo X events to support (& photograph!) him and I now believe the participants to be utterly mad, half mountain goat and believers that mud is good for you!
Here are some pictures from his most recent race.........
