RNLI Lifeboat Day, Fowey

Living by the sea is a wonderful thing, living in a town like Fowey is even more wonderful!

Like so many seaside towns we have an RNLI Lifeboat station manned by local volunteers who give up their time to keep people on the water safe and I think they're fairly awesome! Today they put on a display, alongside the air sea rescue helicopter from Culdrose to raise money for the charity. My brother is on the crew and is the one dangling from the winch wire!

Thank you to the Harbour Commissioners for letting me get sooooo close to the action, it was brilliant and I'm not ashamed to say I felt really quite emotional during this shoot, these men put their lives on the line every time they get called out on a 'shout' and to see them in action was amazing.
